Boccia is ball sport, like bowls. Boccia is played by teams of three. The aim of the game is to throw leather balls, colours are red or blue as close as they can to a white target ball. The white ball is thrown first, the first player who threw the white ball then the opposing side, after which the side furthest away from the white ball to either get closer to the white or knock the opposition ball out of the way. It is played every Thursday morning in the Craoibhín Ballina Centre from 11 am to 1 pm. For more info call the Centre on 0872785365 or 0873621119.
